On September 18th, Alex Craxton will be part of the Travel Risk Academy panel discussing the ins and outs of travel risk registers. There is so much discussion right now about the value and manifestation of risk registers (in travel, safety, cyber, finance etc.) that this feels like a great time to discuss in context to travel ... I will of course be bringing along my product and technology opinions on this one. Be part of the ongoing conversation on how to assess, implement, engage and test your travel policy before putting it into operation.

Become a member of the Travel Risk Academy and get access to some exciting upcoming events, network with the mentors and advisors and the wider TRA community.

In the past few weeks in the risk and critical event management space, we have seen a few large acquisitions worth noting. In each case these involve some level of risk management, emergency messaging and collaborative response solutions. This does shrink the market and pull focus to challenges the sector has in generating revenue, even if the world is looking more volatile right now. However, in each case there is an obvious synergy in each acquisition.

Noggin + Motorola Solutions

This will be interesting to see how the Noggin solution geared more towards the coordinated response to events can integrate with Motorola Solutions' more technical communications and control room products. However, it does feel like a complimentary set of products, though time will tell how easily they integrate at a technical level for customers. Grows their portfolio to being a serious Everbridge competitor.

Infinite Blue + Everbridge

Here we see Everbridge expanding their solutions aimed at safety and security, to widen their portfolio further into Business Continuity to strengthen their overall Critical Event Management business. Where this sits alongside their current solutions and other acquisitions in recent years such as Anvil and CNL will remain to be seen.

OnSolve + Garda World

With Garda's existing safety and security businesses, specially Crisis24 it will be interesting to see how these integrate into a meaningful offering in the coming years. On the surface it looks like they will have to live with 2 similar technology solutions running in parallel until they decide on what their platform future looks like.

I am very proud to join the Travel Risk Academy and the amazing fellow mentors to guide and steer or industry.. Big thanks to all the team at TRA for creating the space and opportunity for us to collaborate and lead.
